“Discovering the truth about ourselves is a lifetime’s work, but it’s worth the effort.” –Mr. Rogers

The new year has just arrived. And as we begin to peer into what 2020 will bring us, we may also be considering what changes we want to make in our lives. Have you ever met someone who was absolutely fearless?

Do you know that one woman who was 100% herself, 100% of the time?

Do you have that one person who is the definition of tenacious?

She’s digging in, she’s getting things done. And maybe you’ve seen her and you’ve always wanted to be her.

The law of attraction says that you will attract into your life whatever you focus on. Whatever you give your energy and attention to will come back to you.

Lately I’ve been seeing a ton of content out there on impostor syndrome. Which means I’m either too focused on feeling like an impostor or I’m finally figuring out how to call it out when I see it. Fingers crossed it’s the later.

Pay gap, sexism, and just not asking – all of these contribute to women not making as much money as men in the workplace.

So what can women do to help themselves to a bigger piece of the compensation pie?

What if women only needed to master the art of persuasion to be able to compete equally with men professionally?

Radical idea, I know. I’m not suggesting that this is the case but I love this as a thought experiment.

I wonder how much farther we could go if we embraced this idea of persuasion and set it as a top skill to hone.

If more women were able to wield this tool in the professional setting, how much farther could we go?

Do you think you belong in your role?

Do you feel qualified and empowered to move up the ladder?
