At Think Tank of Three, we passionately believe that every person must stand against racial injustice.

We are women, empowering all women. This space is a space for you. We want black women and women of color to feel safe and know they have a voice here.

While major brands with vast resources have responded with large donations and advertising campaigns, the more relevant question for us is what can we do?

More importantly, what must we do?

This is a question we have been asking ourselves, as a business owner and a corporate professional.

We know the textbook approach.

We must be genuine, authentic, and transparent in the messages we share.

We also know that finding the right words can be hard.

You are not alone.

What is happening in our country today is emotionally charged, extremely complex, and scary. Wanting to help and knowing what to do are two vastly different things.

As two white women, here are our two cents: even as we are figuring out what to say, it’s important that we keep talking. We should all be listening, learning, and sharing.

This means we should continue having important conversations, like the ones we are having now with our friends, our families, and our communities. It means we need to be reflecting on the ways in which our privilege and bias contribute to a system of inequity.

Julie:
“For my team at mConnexions, we’re also having these difficult conversations with our clients who want to know what to say in their marketing messages. We shared our thoughts on this in our recent blog and welcome your feedback.

Audrea:
“I’m proud to work at an organization that is digging into these hard conversations and publicly making a stand against systemic racism and police brutality. We have to do better and we need to come together to fight racism and injustice.”

Please know that we are navigating this with you. We may not have all the answers, but we are committed to having these difficult conversations.

In our authentic and raw Think Tank of Three format, we will be bringing you these conversations in our podcast. Would you like to join us? Let us know.

We want as many voices from as many different backgrounds as possible to join the conversation. Please send us your topic ideas and your questions. Let us know if you want to share your thoughts as a podcast guest or as a guest writer.

Until then, here are some archived podcasts to help us all start to have these conversations, lift the voices of women of color, and to work through the trauma.

Thank you for being a part of what’s good in our community.
